Long Time No See
Mask-Gorget, late Mississippian culture, ca. 1300-1500, Gift of Thomas Cleneay, 1887.20607
Long Time No See captures the soul of the Cincinnati Art Museum with a never-before peek into object storage. More than 150 objects not seen in at least a decade or more, and some on display for the first time will explore and illuminate the unique personality of the Cincinnati Art Museum. Offering a sense of the depth and breadth of the Museum’s holdings, the exhibition will commemorate the richness of the cultural world that the Museum has to offer, and illustrate how much better we would all be if the Museum had more gallery space.
A second part to Long Time No See showcases the Cincinnati Art Museum’s current plans for capital improvements by the acclaimed architectural firm of Neutelings Riedijk. Drawings and architectural models will highlight the creative genius of the firm and drive home this dynamic phase in the Museum’s history.
