The first-ever Northern Kentucky "Walk to Remember" will be held at the Central Park Arboretum in Burlington, Kentucky, on Saturday, October 11, 2008 with registration beginning at 12:00 p.m. This is a memorial walk of 1.3 miles to honor and remember babies lost during pregnancy through miscarriage and stillbirth, as well as infants lost to prematurity complications, S.I.D.S. and other forms of neonatal death. This walk is designed to provide support, comfort and compassion to families who have experienced the loss of a baby and those who support them. More information on the walk can be found at www.missingalexis.org. There is no entrance fee to participate in the walk, but donations are encouraged and will be happily accepted to the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation. All walk donations will be allocated to the Good Samaritan Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). |
